January 24, 2011, I walk quietly on a motorcycle on the road to the TROIS-ILETS in Martinique, a car misses a turn and strikes violently me. I wake up three days later with an amputated arm and multiple fractures. The doctors announced to my family they can not pronounce it, I only have 20% chance of surviving the accident and if I’m doing, it will take at least a year to have a little hope see me walk again.
After many operations, including one to install a nail to replace my femur broken in several pieces, I began a long and difficult battle. It is under tremendous suffering I finally managed to get up and walk… After one week, I manage to go around my bed, and I no longer despair … A few days later I can finally go it alone in my room to walk in the hallway the nurses could not believe it, I was considered dead and then my life again with courage and strength to want to get out.
A few months later I transferred to the rehabilitation center of the Le Carbet. Begins long sessions of physiotherapy, painful and stressful. I almost walk again properly after 5 months of hard work and perseverance. The output of this rehabilitation center was very difficult psychologically because of a sudden there I felt vulnerable to this new life that awaited me outside …
